N.P. Class 1-7 built in 1903 by American Locomotive Company. Weight Engine 63 tons. Operated 700,000 miles in switching service on Lake Superior and Yellowstone Division. Moved from track-side to present site by “Low-Boy” Truck, a distance of 5 miles on November 16, 1956, in two separate movements in 6 hours and 45 minutes. Presented to the Yellowstone Museum and Pioneers of Eastern Montana by the Northern Pacific Railway. W.W. Judson, Vice-President. Dedicated May 25, 1957.
