The Yellowstone County Museum was under construction from April to December 2025. Now that construction is complete, we are open with regular hours.

From January to March 2026, Museum staff are completing the finishing touches for the construction project and installing new displays.

The facilities upgrade includes a new entrance, stairs, wheelchair lift to the lower-level, and bathrooms. The historic Paul McCormick Cabin is now a display room dedicated to the early history of our region. The upgrade also provided the first indoor space the YCM has had for educational programing.
